Buttermilk Blue Cheese Dressing With Wedge Salad

Ingredients

Total Yield: 2 serving

Dressing (Yields 8 fl oz):

  • 1 1/2 oz Mayonnaise

  • 1 1/2 oz Sour Cream

  • 1 1/2 fl-oz Buttermilk

  • 1 tablespoon Chives, chopped

  • 1 clove Garlic, chopped

  • 1/2 fl-oz Lemon, juice

  • 2 oz Blue Cheese, crumbled

  • Salt (as needed)

  • Black Pepper, ground (as needed)

  • Hot Sauce (as needed)

Wedge Salad:

  • 1/2 ea Iceberg Lettuce

  • 5 ea Cherry Tomatoes, halved

  • 4 slice Bacon, cooked, crisp, diced

  • 1/2 ea Avocado, sliced (optional)

  • Extra Blue Cheese And Chives (for garnish)

Prep Method

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, chives, garlic, and lemon juice. Whisk together, then slowly fold in the blue cheese crumbles. Add salt and pepper, and hot sauce to taste.

Assembly:

  1. Cut lettuce in wedges. Wash and chill.

  2. Drizzle lettuce with dressing, top with halved tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, avocado, bacon and reserved chives.
